AG Financial Services is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information (Law 25).

Person responsible for the protection of personal information

Alexandre Garneau is designated as the person responsible for the protection of personal information at AG Financial Services.

Personal information collected

We collect the following personal information, only when you voluntarily provide it through our contact or analysis-request forms:

First and last name
Email address
Phone number
General information about your financial situation (voluntarily provided in your message)

We do not collect any sensitive personal information (health data, SIN, banking information) through our online forms.

Purposes of collection

The information collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:

Respond to your consultation or information requests
Prepare a personalized financial analysis at your request
Send you information about our products and services relevant to your situation
Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations to the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and the Chambre de la sécurité financière (CSF)

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information for marketing purposes by unauthorized third parties.

Retention period

Personal information is kept for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, and in accordance with the legal obligations applicable to financial security advisors in Quebec.

In practice, active client files are kept for the entire duration of the business relationship, plus a minimum of five (5) years after the end of that relationship, in accordance with AMF requirements.

General communications (contact forms without follow-up) are kept for a maximum period of two (2) years.

After these periods, your information is securely destroyed or anonymized.

Disclosure to third parties

Your information may be disclosed to the following third parties, strictly within the stated purposes:

Resend Inc. (United States): provider of transactional email services. Your contact details (name, email) pass through this platform when form confirmations are sent.
Vercel Inc. (United States): host of the website's technical infrastructure. Data submitted through forms passes through their servers.
iA Financial Group / MRA Firm: as part of business agreements and the preparation of insurance proposals, the necessary information may be shared with these partners, with your consent.
Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) / Chambre de la sécurité financière (CSF): upon regulatory or judicial obligation.

Contractual agreements are in place with Resend and Vercel to ensure adequate protection of information when processed outside Quebec.

Transfers outside Quebec

Some of our providers (Resend, Vercel) are established in the United States. Before any transfer of personal information outside Quebec, we conduct a privacy impact assessment (PIA) to ensure that this information benefits from adequate protection.

Cookies

Our website uses technical cookies essential to the proper functioning of the Next.js platform. These cookies do not collect any identifiable personal information and are not used for advertising tracking purposes.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.) without explicit consent.

Rights of the individuals concerned

Right to portability: receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Right to cessation of dissemination: in cases provided by law, request that information about you cease to be disseminated.

Privacy incidents

In the event of a privacy incident involving your personal information (unauthorized access, misuse, loss), we commit to:

Assess the seriousness of the incident and its potential consequences
Notify the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) within 72 hours if the incident presents a serious risk of harm
Notify you personally if the incident is likely to cause you serious harm
Record the incident in our internal register

Information security

We apply reasonable security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction:

Encrypted transmission via HTTPS (TLS 1.3)
Restricted access to information based on the principle of least privilege
Hosting with a certified provider (Vercel / AWS infrastructure)
No local storage of sensitive data on unsecured devices

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time to reflect legislative, technological or operational changes. The most recent version is always available on this page.

In case of a substantial change, we will inform users via a visible notice on our site.
